4th International Summer School in Peace & Conflict Studies: Co-opted Peace and the Pursuit of Justice: Hidden Conflicts, Concealed Violence and New Rights

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, the University of Cyprus, the European Consortium for Political Research, and the International Association for Peace and Conflict Studies will host the 4th International Summer School in Peace & Conflict Studies.

The International Summer School aims to bring together leading academics in the interdisciplinary field of Peace and Conflict Studies with practitioners and postgraduate students who work either in Cyprus or abroad. The rise of different social movements demanding rights and justice around the globe expanded our understanding of peace beyond the absence of violent conflict or the presence of liberal peace settlements.

The focuses of the Summer School are questions around issues of co-opted peace and the pursuit of justice. Questions around hidden conflicts, concealed violence and new rights in Cyprus and the world will be explored and discussed.
