Enorasis’ 16th Annual Friendship Weekend Rodon Hotel, Agros, Friday 19 to Sunday 21 November 2021

Enorasis organized a friendship weekend in cooperation with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Rodon Hotel and Synergia-Media. The topic of discussion included a debate on historical truth and what the future of Cyprus could or should look like with the MEP Niyazi Kizilyurek, the journalist Andreas Paraschos, the archaeologist Tuncer Bağışkan and the Journalist Ralli Papageorgiou. More than 120 Greek-Turkish Cypriots participated in the workshop. Both sides were able to exchange ideas on how to realize a reunification. We would like to thank all the speakers and participants for making this such a successful weekend.

FRIDAY 19/11/21: • 09:30 departure from Ledra Palace and from Enorasis Club • 10:30 coffee break at Fraoula, Agia Koroni rural area • 11:30 visit our cultural heritage and beautiful country-site of Ag. Theodoros picturesque village and picnic • 14:30 arrival at the hotel and relax • 18:00 film screening of award winning rapprochement pleasant Cypriot film SMUGGLING HENDRIX offered by its director Marios Piperides and Pantheon, with Greek & English subtitles. • 20:00 Rich buffet dinner and music.

SATURDAY 20/11/21: • 08:30 Breakfast time • 10:30 a two-hour nature walk and/or traditional visits • 13:00 rich buffet lunch at the hotel • 17:30 a 3-hour WORKSHOP ON FACING HISTORICAL TRUTH, THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS FUTURE AT THE CONFERENCE HALL with opening presentations by our guest speakers, and open discussion with the audience in Greek/Turkish (parallel interpretation), with coffee & cake offered by the hotel • 20:30 Rich buffet dinner and music.

SUNDAY 21/11/21: • 08:30 Breakfast time • 10:30 a two-hour nature walk and/or traditional visits • 13:00 rich buffet lunch at the hotel • 16:30 departure for the return to Nicosia.
