Understanding Migration Dynamics in the Eastern Mediterranean

Series of Publications: Migration in the Eastern Mediterranean

FES Cyprus is pleased to announce the release of its latest publications in collaboration with ELIAMEP, PRIO Cyprus Center and Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs.

These publications provide an in-depth analysis of migration trends in the Eastern Mediterranean, focusing on the common challenges and differences between Egypt, Lebanon, Greece and Cyprus. The research examines the impact of regional conflicts, economic difficulties, and EU policies on migration flows, as well as an assessment of border control measures and the socio-economic factors driving displacement. In addition, the study provides insights into the migration management strategies adopted by these countries and the complex dynamics influencing both migration patterns and policy responses.

For each country analyzed, as well as for the cross-country synthesis report, three documents will be available with varying levels of detail: the full report, a policy brief with key recommendations, and a concise one-page summary highlighting the central aspects of each study.

The documents will be published in stages. Beginning on April 28th, in coordination with the Europe Calling Webinar, the Policy Briefs will be available on this page. The full reports and one-page summaries will follow on May 14th. Invitations and registration for our launch event will be opening soon on this site!
