The aim of the event was to bring Cypriot citizens from both sides of the divide in contact, cultivate friendship amongst them and open prospects for a better understanding of one another and of their worries and hopes. Besides guided visits by coach to common cultural heritage sites and the screening of a bi-communal film, a three-hour-workshop with guest speakers former TC Leader Mehmet Ali Talat and former Attorney General Alecos Markides was part of the programme. The current status of the Cyprus peace process was discussed and the participants were given the opportunity to raise questions as well as to express worries and political demands.
