Workshop: Overcoming Ourselves for a United Island

Supported by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Enorasis, a bi-communal initiative, is organizing a friendship weekend bring people from both sides of the divide together and to discuss the currents status of the Cyprus peace process with prominent guest speakers.

The aim of the event is to bring Cypriot citizens from both sides of the divide in contact, cultivate friendship amongst them and open prospects for a better understanding of one another and of their worries and hopes. Besides guided visits by coach to common cultural heritage sites and the screening of a bi-communal film, a three-hour-workshop with guest speakers Professor Niyazi Kizilyurek and GC Negotiator Andreas Mavroyiannis is part of the programme. The current status of the Cyprus peace process will be discussed and the participants will be given the opportunity to raise questions as well as to express worries and demands.
