During the discussion, participants explored the devastating situation in Sudan, which has developed into the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. Speakers examined how the warring parties continue to target the civilian population, often with the backing of various regional actors. The event addressed the complex challenges facing peace efforts, assessed the prospects for a lasting resolution to the conflict, and considered the potential risks for the wider region.
