In the second webinar of the series, we focus on energy security.East Med is a strategic crossroads for global energy flows, serving as both a transit corridor and a potential supplier. But the region faces a sharp divide between energy exporters and importers, exposing countries to vulnerabilities. Wars in Ukraine and Iran have economic and energy security ramifications affecting all countries around the region. A direct consequence of the Iran war is that heavy dependence on fossil fuels has exposed users to disproportionate energy security and costs challenges.
