Event Congratulations, Frank-Walter Steinmeier (SPD)! 13.02.2022 Frank-Walter Steinmeier (SPD) was reelected as Federal President in the Federal Assembly on 13/02/2022. The Federal President is the official head of state of the Federal Republic of Germany representing the state both internally and externally. During his time as Foreign Minister (2013 - 2017), he was a strong advocate for the solution of the Cyprus question.
